In an Australian campaign for a non-profit organization, a young boy came out with a painted finger.
Although women have been invited to do the same action, this campaign is focused on boys because 90% of them are responsible for sexual assaults against children.
The campaign’s motto, “Nail it to end it,” is based on a simple premise: to raise awareness and funds worldwide, one polished nail at a time.
The #PolishedMan and #nailedit hashtags have taken hold of social media, with famous celebrities, including Aussies Chris Hemsworth and champion swimmer Michael Klim, as well as Hollywood star Zac Efron, happily showing off their painted nails.
To date, $513,000 in donations have been collected from 61,000 people.
