This incredible story starts with a call to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office about a vehicle spotted in a large lake in Marion County, Texas. Some fishermen were at the lake when they noticed the submerged Jeep and alerted the authorities. However, what they didn’t know was that they would save the life of a missing woman that day.
It took around 18 minutes for the deputies to arrive, and the tow truck took a little longer to get to the scene. The vehicle was away from shore, some 40 feet out in the water from Woody’s Camp Boat Ramp.
However, once the tow truck came and they started pulling the Jeep out, they realized there was a moving person inside. This was an incredible sight to witness. They had no idea how the woman could still be alive.
She was taken to the hospital and it was then that it was discovered she had been listed as a missing person by the Longview Texas Police Department. “We do not know how long the Jeep was in the water,” Capt. Chuck Rogers, an investigator at the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, told NPR.
The identity and the condition of the woman in question remain unknown.
There are still a lot of questions authorities need to find answers to, such as how the Jeep ended up in the water and how long it was there before it was spotted.
“There was nothing uncovered during the investigation to suggest this case was anything more than an accident,” Capt. Chuck Rogers said.
This woman is lucky to be alive. She had her guardian angel looking over her.
