Some people do it as a pastime, while others do it as their full-time job. They never truly know what they will find because treasure hunters rummage through people’s houses, garages, and basements looking for hidden riches and bidding on storage units containing unclaimed goods. They occasionally come up empty-handed, but occasionally they come upon priceless items.
In New York State, Anton Lulgjuraj began his path of acquiring outdated storage facilities years ago. Although he has never discovered anything life-altering, he did once discover a wallet, which provided material for a newspaper worth a story.
When Anton purchased storage, he also acquired a number of items that belonged to an Air Force pilot. But it was a tiny locker that attracted Anton’s eye. He peeled it open and found a safe wallet inside.
Diane Hall, who was the owner of the wallet, was found. Anton’s curiosity was piqued by the contents of the wallet, which included a California driver’s license from the late 1960s, an actor’s equity card, and a few old pictures. He was curious and even considered making an effort to identify the owner of the wallet.
He discovered that Diane Hall was actually actress Diane Keaton when he searched further on the Internet.
He sent her a message because he believed she would be interested in having her old wallet, but he never heard back—well, not before the media took up his story.
Anton said “Everyone always has the hope that, you know, one day you’ll get your wallet back, like if they lose a wallet. And you know, this is amazing, right?”
Diane expressed her joy with Anton’s discovery on Instagram after reading the article in the New York Daily News.
“A WALLET I LOST 50 YEARS AGO WAS FOUND BY SOMEONE! THANK YOU, MR. LULGJURAJ!”, Her post stated.
“DM ME, PLEASE! CAN YOU BELIEVE THOSE BANGS?! THIS PHOTO WAS IN IT, I’M ON THE FAR RIGHT!”
We appreciate the Something’s Gotta Give actress recognizing Anton’s finding it.
