Madonna donned a dodgy wig and flexed her muscles while wearing a skimpy red négligée during her sold-out Madison Square Garden concert in Manhattan on Monday – five days after two fans sued her for ‘false advertising.’
The 65-year-old Queen of Pop wore the scantily-clad costume to sing happy birthday to her daughter Chifundo ‘Mercy’ James Kambewa Ciccone, who turned 18 on Monday.
Music diva Madonna is being sued by two men in New York over the delay in her concert scheduled for December 14. That day, as the two men point out in their lawsuit, they were significantly affected by Madonna’s tardiness, since the next day “they had to wake up early to go to work.”
It is known that on December 14, the pop star had planned her concert in the “Big Apple”. The tickets said the show would start at 8:30 p.m., but Madonna took the stage two hours later. As expected, this delay caused strong reactions from her fans.
The two men who filed the lawsuit, Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hayden, were among those who attended the concert. They pointed out how difficult it was to return home because the show ended at 1:00 a.m. and thus “was faced with limited options to return to their homes, increased costs of private or public transport, or public transport of limited, until the end of the concert”, they say in the lawsuit.
According to the Guardian, the two men are targeting Madonna, the Barclays Center and Live Nation. They are accused of “unconscionable, unfair and/or deceptive trade practices”, which amounts to “breach of contract and unjustified false advertising”.
“Madonna was negligent and failed to provide a timely or complete performance, and the defendants knew that any statement regarding the show’s start time was, at best, an optimistic guess,” the lawsuit states.
