The footage shows a young man knocking a man out of his wheelchair with a vicious punch.
The victim was knocked back to the ground from the wheelchair by the force of the impact.
The incident happened in the early hours of Friday in front of security staff and shocked customers outside the BSB pub in Bristol’s Waterfront.
The cellphone footage, which captured the horrific incident, later went viral on social media.
The bandit, who was with another man, approached the victim and then punched him. The two men then left.
The security staff appeared shocked by the incident. Professional boxer Anthony Fowler hit out at the thug responsible for the attack.
Mr. Fowler tweeted: “Just when you think you’ve seen it all, an idiot hits someone in a wheelchair.”
Reports on social media indicate that the thug reacted after the victim stepped on his leg with his wheelchair.
Avon and Somerset Police have now launched an investigation.
A spokesman said: “We have collected footage from the local area, including the BSB bar, and we believe the incident took place shortly after 1.30 am on Friday.”
