Sally Field began her 50-year career on the sitcom Gidget. She has also won many awards such as two Academy Awards, for Norma Rae and Places in the Heart, three Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and a Screen Actors Guild Award among the rest
Field has played alongside well-known names in Hollywood and was part of films that are until this very day considered iconic.
During the award ceremony in 2007 at the Emmy Awards she won for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series she said “If the mothers ruled the world, there would be no goddamn wars in the first place.”
Field was married twice, Steven Craig was her first husband whom she married in 1968 and separated five years later. Field from that marriage had sons Peter Craig, a novelist and a screenwriter, and Eli Craig, an actor, and director best known for directing the cult horror comedy film Tucker & Dale vs Evil.
In 1976, she began dating Burt Reynolds, and they starred together in films like Smokey and the Bandit, Smokey and the Bandit II, The End, and Hooper. They called it quits but were on-again-off-again until 1982.
With her second husband, who she was married to until 1994, Field has a son Alan Greisman.
Nowadays, she doesn’t have the youthful look she once had, but that doesn’t mean she’s any less attractive.
