Fans are sending their best wishes to musician Luke Bryan, who is experiencing complete silence.
Do you remember that feeling you get when watching a very tight sporting event? You can’t help but cheer when your favorite team is competing for the National Championship, though. Sadly, while supporting the Georgia Bulldogs during their matchup versus the Alabama Crimson Tide on January 10, Luke Bryan kind of went too far and lost his voice.
To be fair, this was Georgia’s first championship victory in more than 40 years, so it’s understandable that feelings were high. The singer of “That’s My Kind of Night” is on vocal rest until further notice, per the doctor’s orders!
Luke Bryan is making the most of his vocal rest before his performances at Crash My Playa in Mexico, in true Luke Bryan fashion. Luke and his wife Caroline made light of Luke’s predicament on social media.
In a humorous snapshot she shared, Caroline can be seen practically taping Luke’s lips shut. She wrote in the post’s caption: “I can’t say I’m very upset about it because he’s on vocal rest after his EXCESSIVE yelling at the National Championship game. I’m going to babble endlessly and drive him absolutely crazy.”
Even Chase Chrisley from the reality series Chrisley Knows Best joined in the fun and said, “Send the tape to my mom, I can tell you she wants it for my dad,” which is certainly something that a lot of us can relate to.
The American Idol judge had to get in on the fun as well, of course. He quickly uploaded a video to Instagram and added the message “I may have lost my voice, but these memories will always be with me. Only on @facebookwatch right now.” He also urged followers to “pray for my voice” before concluding the broadcast with a smile.
Even though Luke has lost his voice, he continues to work hard to promote his brand-new “Up” music video. He appears happy in the video and urges admirers to “pray for his voice” while he is on vocal rest. “I hope your voice improves quickly. You performed a fantastic job, and I hope to hear your voice again for Crash My Playa the following week. “WOW great music,” “We can’t wait to come party with you all for the fifth time in Cancun,” and soon feel better “were only a handful of the kind notes sent to Luke by fans.
