Fleetwood Mac Christine McVie has passed away due to a short illness.
Her family said that the British musician passed away on Wednesday morning peacefully in the hospital.
They also added that Christine was a “revered musician who was loved universally”.
In a statement on Twitter, her Fleetwood Mac bandmates paid tribute to her saying: “There are no words to describe our sadness at the passing of Christine McVie.
“She was truly one-of-a-kind, special, and talented beyond measure.
“She was the best musician anyone could have in their band and the best friend anyone could have in their life. We are so lucky to have a life with her.”
They thanked Christine for the memories they shared, saying: “She will be so very missed.”
