Megan Thee Stallion recently spoke about the trauma she experienced after being shot in July 2020. In an interview with Gayle King, aired on CBS Mornings, the ‘Grammy’ award winner recounted the event of an evening where she states that Tory Lanez allegedly shot him in both legs during a party in the Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles.
Addressing the incident for the first time in a television interview, she explained how the incident took place outside the parked car, claiming that 29-year-old Lanez was “standing on the car window and shooting” at it.
So I got out of the car and everything happens so fast. All I heard was this screaming man who even started firing not just once but several times.
“But why did you say that? “Why didn’t you say ‘He shot me?'” The moderator asked.
I did not say that for some reason, I was just trying to protect them all because I did not want to see anyone die. So I just said, ‘I stepped on the glass. I wish I had told the truth. But if it saved us all from death, then surely that was what needed to be done.

A preview of the interview shows that as she tells King what happened two years ago, she gets excited.
I did not even want to move. I did not want to move too fast because I thought I was going to take the wrong step and he could shoot me and kill me. I was very scared because I had never been shot before.
