One Direction member Liam Payne has reportedly died at the age of 31 in Buenos Aires, according to local media.
According to TMZ, the pop star reportedly fell from the third floor of a hotel in Argentina’s capital. Witnesses claimed that Payne plunged from his room at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel shortly after 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
Emergency services responded and were observed outside the hotel, where they established a red tent at the location.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Payne’s death is still underway.
Liam Payne gained prominence in 2010 as part of One Direction, alongside Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson after their appearance on The X Factor.
He was formerly in a relationship with British singer Cheryl Cole, with whom he has a son named Bear Grey, born on March 22, 2017.
