That’s how valuable the little things are

A little girl was standing on the side of the road with dirty clothes. Many people approached her and asked her where her parents were. No one cared what she had and why she was wearing those clothes.

This behavior makes the part of having an equal future for all very difficult. It is unfortunate that it is thought that the life of some people is more important than that of others.

One day a homeless man was sitting in Dunkin Donuts and was repeatedly ignored by people passing by until a woman approached him.

She bought him a coffee and a bagel and sat him down so they could talk together. Before leaving he gave her a note that she didn’t understand at first.

We all have to create together a society where we feel equal and accepted. This will make the world a better place.

Casey Fischer that day had a coffee with Chris who was collecting cans on the other side of the street. They talked about his life and the way people treated him.

He admitted that he had been a drug user in the past. In the letter he wrote that he had decided until the moment she invited him to commit suicide. The meeting with him made him think that there are still good people in this world.

Stories like this remind us that we should be kind and compassionate to each other. Only this small action gave life to a man. What if we do even more? We can all make a difference together.
