Trump’s AI Video Sparks Massive Backlash: “This Crossed the Line”
Once again, former U.S. President Donald Trump has managed to stir up a social media storm — and this time, it’s all because of a bizarre AI-generated video that he personally shared on his Truth Social account.
The clip, which quickly went viral, shows a computer-generated version of Trump piloting a fighter jet marked with the words “King Trump.” As he flies over a crowd of people protesting under the banner “No Kings,” the aircraft releases a dark, sludge-like substance on them. The video is soundtracked by the 1980s hit Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins — and that detail alone sent the controversy into overdrive.
Loggins himself reacted almost immediately, demanding the video be taken down and clarifying that his music had been used without his approval. “My song was never meant to be used for politics,” he said in a statement that quickly went viral on X (formerly Twitter).
Critics condemned the video as “violent political propaganda,” arguing that it promotes hate and ridicule rather than leadership. Many also expressed concern over Trump’s increasing use of AI-generated content, saying it reflects a dangerous new strategy that mixes entertainment, misinformation, and politics.
Trump’s supporters, however, insist the video was simply satire — a tongue-in-cheek jab at those who oppose him. “It’s humor, not hate,” one Truth Social user commented.
Still, experts warn that the clip highlights a growing issue: how artificial intelligence is changing political communication. In the wrong hands, they argue, these tools could easily blur the line between parody and propaganda.
Whether Trump intended it as a joke or a statement, one thing is clear — the AI revolution has officially entered the political battlefield, and the debate it sparked shows no signs of slowing down.
