“Human Skin” Teddy Bear Sparks Outrage and Panic in California

A horrifying discovery outside a California convenience store has gone viral after a teddy bear, seemingly made from human skin, was spotted lying on a sidewalk in Victorville. Its unsettling appearance — complete with disturbingly lifelike eyes, lips, and facial features — prompted concerned bystanders to call the authorities immediately.

San Bernardino County deputies and a coroner were dispatched, fearing the worst. Initial reports speculated the bear might have been crafted using real human flesh, fueling social media hysteria.

However, after further investigation, the bear was revealed to be an art piece made from latex, created by horror artist Robert Kelly from South Carolina. Kelly sells these grotesque creations through his online shop, “Dark Seed Creations,” where the bears are marketed as “props for horror fans,” priced at around $165.

While the bear wasn’t real, the panic it caused was very much so, leaving many questioning where the line is between art and public disturbance. Authorities are still investigating how and why the bear was left in a public place, though no criminal charges have been filed.

“It’s meant to disturb. But I never expected this kind of reaction,” Kelly told reporters.

Whether a prank gone too far or a misunderstood piece of horror art, this teddy bear has certainly left its mark on the internet.
