The search for Nancy Guthrie, an 84-year-old woman from Catalina Foothills, Arizona, quickly turned into a nationwide story after she mysteriously disappeared from her home. Authorities believe she may have been abducted during the night, sparking a massive investigation involving local police and the FBI.
Nancy was last seen on January 31, 2026, when family members dropped her off at her home after spending the evening together. The next morning, relatives became worried when she failed to appear for her usual online church service. When they went to check on her, they found no sign of her inside the house and immediately contacted authorities.
Investigators quickly noticed suspicious evidence at the property. Her personal belongings, including her phone, were still inside the home, and signs suggested that she had not left voluntarily. Officials also found blood near the front door, which was later confirmed to belong to Nancy, increasing fears that a crime had taken place.
Authorities also discovered that the doorbell security camera had been tampered with during the night, around the time investigators believe she may have been taken.
