Will Smith apologized to Chris Rock after he hit him at the Oscars, saying his behavior was “unacceptable and unforgivable”.
“Jokes on my back are part of my job, but a joke about Jada’s health was too much for me and I reacted emotionally,” he initially wrote in a post on his social network Instagram.
He then apologizes to Chris: “I want to apologize publicly, Chris. I was off the line and I made a mistake. I am ashamed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. “There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness.”
Smith added in his post, “Violence in all its forms is poisonous and destructive.” He also included in his statement an apology to “the Academy, the producers of the show, all those present and all those watching around the world, the family of tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams, and those involved in the film.”, for which he won his award for “Best Actor” on Sunday.
“I’m deeply sorry that my behavior has tarnished what has been a wonderful journey for all of us,” he wrote.

“He is very human. This is the first time I have seen him lose it. First time in his life. I have never seen him in this condition. I know how it works, how much it… I’ve been waiting, waiting, and waiting. “When I heard his name after receiving the award for ‘Best Actor, I was infinitely happy,” she said.
